Sync ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data processed via the Sync mobile application. Operator identity and contact details are listed below. EU residents can also contact us at the address in our DSA contact page.
We collect only what we need to run Sync and keep it safe:
We use this information only to provide and protect the service. We never sell your data or use it for advertising profiling.
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the app. They act only on our instructions, are bound by data processing agreements, and may not use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell your data. Some providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
We keep your information only while your account is active or as long as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove your data within a short time, except for limited records we are required to keep for legal or safety reasons (kept without identifying you wherever possible). Messages are kept only while the relevant chat is active.
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, ask for a copy, and withdraw any consent you gave. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority. You can manage most of this in Settings → Account, or email [email protected] and we will help.
Depending on the country where you live, your local data-protection laws may give you additional rights over your personal data. To exercise any such right, email [email protected] and we will help you, wherever you are.
Sync is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We collect a date of birth at registration and reject accounts under 18. Accounts later discovered to belong to a minor are removed immediately and any CSAE-related findings are handled per our Child Safety Standards.
We protect your information using industry-standard security measures and limit access to authorized team members. No service can be perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe. To report a security concern, email [email protected].
If we materially update this policy we will notify users in-app and require re-acceptance via the EULA flow before next use.
